Mark Ringrose
Mark is a recognised expert in financial modelling. He has more than 25 years experience helping clients realise infrastructure projects and is a recognised expert in financial modelling delivering for clients across Europe. He has a focus on renewables and transportation projects and has directly supported many blue-chip clients with financial modelling services including tender and project management, model build, model review and modelling training.
Mark started his career in project risk management, developing risk management plans and undertaking project risk analysis and Monte Carlo modelling on projects in naval and construction services.
Between 2000 and 2014 Mark worked at KPMG Corporate Finance focussing on PPP projects developing bid-winning models for private sector clients while at the same time supporting public sector clients in bid appraisal and negotiation. Mark’s M&A and corporate finance experience was developed further after a move to KPMG Germany in 2006 working on renewable energy and transportation projects where he oversaw the development of the models required to evaluate infrastructure related transactions.
Mark is a dual German and UK citizen and speaks fluent English and German.
Sebastian Szameitat, AFM
Sebastian is a passionate expert in financial modelling. He has more than 20 years of experience in the financial sector, over 15 years of realising infrastructure projects. His roles included investment management, analysis and modelling as well as risk management, so that he looks at every project from several angles. He has a focus on real assets, such as renewables, real estate, shipping, data centres etc. and he was involved in countless transactions providing financial modelling services including tender and project management, model build, model review and modelling training. Sebastian is accredited by the Financial Modeling Institute (FMI) as Advanced Financial Modeler (AFM).
Until 2022 Sebastian has worked 15 years for two internationally operating investment companies and alternative investment fund managers (“AIFMs”) where he developed his M&A and corporate finance experience and was responsible for the centralised knowledge management, the development and management of standards, technical reviews and trainings for financial modelling.
Sebastian and his family live in Luxembourg since 2015 and he is fluent in German and English.
Judith Drion
Judith has over 12 years’ experience in financing and investments in renewable energy. She is a financial modelling and M&A expert, and has successfully led M&A transactions in offshore/onshore wind and solar PV across Europe. She started her career at FMO (the Dutch Development Bank), providing project financing for energy projects in emerging markets. From 2017 to 2020 she worked as financial modeller for Eneco (Dutch utility company), helping the company win offshore wind bids in public tenders, secure project financing and
provide ongoing support for operating projects. She then continued working for UKA (onshore wind and solar developer from Germany) and Ocean Winds (offshore wind developer) in Madrid, where she was responsible for acquiring and divesting (offshore) wind and solar PV projects throughout Europe. She has worked on a wide variety of projects ranging from a few MW to several GW. Judith is based in Spain, and is fluent in English and Dutch.
Thomas van de Sande
Thomas has 10 years of experience in modelling and presenting complex data to senior management. He has led the CAPEX Investment team (12 persons) of the Netherlands’ largest utility company; Eneco. His team was responsible for all renewable project investments; ranging from large offshore wind, solar, power generation and district heating.
Thomas started his career as a logistics and supply chain consultant and therefore has a quick understanding of complex technological value chains, while also understanding the financial challenges.
Since 2021, Thomas is an independent consultant focussing on sustainability projects. He left Eneco sinds October 2023 and is now fully focusing on sustainable energy projects, bio-based buildings and (agro)forestry.
He lives in Rotterdam, the Netherlands and is fluent in Dutch and English.
Stefan Euring
Stefan is an expert in business valuation and financial modelling. He has more than 18 years of experience in those fields, covering a broad range of sectors. He worked 6 years in M&A advisory, mostly covering the German midcap market as well as the sectors renewable energy, transportation and shipping on an international level. He subsequently joined an international asset management company specializing in alternative asset classes. He worked in the valuation department and led the financial modelling team for several years. In this role, he was responsible for in-house financial models in the sectors renewable energy (mostly wind, solar and hydro), agriculture, farming and real estate as well as fund structures.
Since 2019, Stefan is a publicly certified expert in business valuation by the German chamber of commerce and industry and, since 2015, a certified valuation Analyst (CVA) and member of the European Association of certified valuators and analysts (EACVA).
His current position is executive partner at Morgenwert Valuation & Advisory GmbH, the consulting company he founded in 2019 dedicated at best-in-class valuation and financial modelling services and practices. Previous positions in business valuation,
financial modelling and M&A advisory include Aquila Capital, RSM Altavis GmbH and HSH Corporate Finance GmbH.
He lives in Hamburg, Germany, and speaks German and English fluently and Spanish on an intermediate level.
John Peters
John is a Data Scientist with over twenty-five years’ experience leading projects to facilitate decision making across a range of industries including Energy, Defence, Professional Sport, Transport and Health.
John typically works with highly complex data to develop insight using a variety of data analytics tools, programming languages and database applications including R, Excel, Power Query, PowerBI, and PostgreSQL. Throughout his career John has utilised these tools to conduct advanced descriptive and predictive analytics, construct relational data models, and develop interactive applications to facilitate data visualisation and decision making.
Examples of John’s work include 10 year forecast financial models to support Health for North East London, detailed race analysis models for pro cycling teams, and wake vortex analysis to support the Heathrow Expansion safety case. Through his experience John has developed the skills to design and conduct robust and repeatable analysis, often identifying where techniques are transferable across different client domains. John’s experience has given him exposure to a wide range of datasets (content, sizes and format), from publicly available website data to bespoke data generated by specific measuring equipment. Through understanding and analysing such a wide range of datasets John has gained extensive experience in quickly assimilating, understanding and analysing data, data cleaning, ensuring data integrity and establishing robust data governance and standards.
John is a UK citizen and speaks fluent English.
